Dickens Fellowship Club
The Dickens Fellowship Club is dedicated to the works of Charles Dickens. The youth members in the club are required to read all the works of Charles Dickens. As well as learn proper etiquette and dance. Each member will learn about fashion in history from 1700 to current. And eventually pick a character from one of the Dickens works and construct an outfit for the Dickens Holidays sponcered by the Fayetteville Art Council each year the day after Thankgiving Day.
The club sets up a Craft Booth at the Dickens Holiday, where we sell Christmas Tree ornaments similar to the ones that would have been made and seen during the Dickens time period. we also sell cookbooks that have recipes of foods mentioned in the Dickens Books. We have set up a booth for several years (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), and are looking to expanding our list of craft items.
