Mide Clubs 4-H
                    Learn by doing

The Mide Clubs 4-H is off and running.   Started Jan. 1, 2008, we Officially became a club, and are taking members.  The first official meeting for the club was held on Jan. 5, 2008.  It was elected at that time to have official meeting on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m., e-mail us for meeting place at:   mideclubs@hotmail.com  

2008 Within the first year of the club starting, members have done:
 +  5 days of community service (road side clean up, shed building, yard cleaning for the elderly)
 + over 400 hours of volunteer work between 12 of the members
 + visited kennels in North Carolina
 + attended, participated, and placed at Dog Shows
 + two members received their Silver certificated
 + three members received their Bronze certificates
 + four members received their Green Certificates
 + Highest clover points accomplished by member - Amanda White 
 + Senior 4-H'er of the year for 2008 - Jordan Hupp 
 + attended a falconry meet
2009 Our Second year was great with:
 + attended dog shows
 + attended a Falconry events Jan. NCFG
 + 12 community service events and several Fundraisers
    - Fayetteville After 5 concession stands 
    - Dicken Holiday
    - International Folks Festival
    - Haven Cleanup
 + lots of volunteer hours (over 1000 hours clocked by members)
+ over 30 project records turned in and many went to District for judging, 3 to State

2010 Our third year was even better yet. 
We: 
+ hosted several fundraisers
   - Fayetteville After 5 concession stands (May, June, July, Aug. and Sept.)
   - a Fried Bread Booth at the International Folks Festaval in Sept.
   - a Concession Stand for the 4-H Shooting Compititon in Sept.
+ More Dog Shows
+ Attended two Falconry events one in Feb. and one in Nov.
+ Community Service events at the Haven-Friends for Life (a no-kill animal shelter)
+ Lots of volunteer hours (2304 hours clocked, accumulative for the club)
+ our club handed in the most project records for the entire county 4-H
+ our club handed in 2 Cumulative Records, both of which got Gold at both district and state levels.

2011 Our forth year was great:
+ 9 members attended the WHEP compitition at Goose Creek State Park in Washington, NC.
+ Attended three Falconry Events one in Jan., one in Feb. and one in Nov.
+ Comm. Service:
  - helped with the Haven - yearly Vaccines
  - helped clean up several yards
+ Attended more dog shows and won
+ The club handed in 12 project records
+ One member handed in 2 Cumulative records - both went for State compitition.
+ Brooke Newton got 1st at Congress in public Speaking
+ Competed in Public Speaking
+ Competed in Presentations
+ Went to Winter Enrichment
+ Went on a 4-H Camping/Hiking Trip
+ Attended District Activity Day
+ Went to the State Fair as a club
2012 Our fifth year:
+ Brooke Newton - Senior 4-H'er of the Year!!!
+ attended Falconry Meets
+ handed in 12 project records
+ handed in 2 cumulative records
